I believe that people have different ways of living, that no one, in any social position, can not criticize the other people’s way of living as long as it satisfies the person physically and mentally, and it has no harm to the other people’s life.
For example, one may find joy spending a lots of time with his children, going out for hike, etc. while the other may find joy providing his children a good environment, high education, and strong discipline.
One should never force the other people to live the same way he lives, yet only can show them how he lives, which would encourage them to change if they realize that his way is better than theirs.
For example, democracy should never be forced into a socialistic or communistic county. We may attempt to let them know more about democracy and how it will help their government, but that’s all.
Human has very diverse characteristics yet with ethnocentrism, that sometimes they don’t understand each other. To make up an example, A smart students who gets into an Ivy leagues fails to understand those people who are glad that they get into community colleges, and eventually looks down on them, while those students call the smart student a nerd and think that he has no life.
Having an emic point of view seems to be the key to live wisely with no inclination to one or the other.

Apple and Orange

Bolivia and Pakistan has a little difference. The difference is that the battles in Pakistan was performed under a reason; to get rid of terrorism and set stable government. Bolivia was the revolutionary battle for human rights, and promotion of socialism. There are both the U.S. involvement in direct and indirect ways. CIA was also involved in both crisis. I think they draw a parallel pattern yet are not equal necessarily.

Writing Style

Tone, Diction, Imagery, Detail, Syntax
His tone in his diary is somewhat distant, meaning that he puts himself as an observer yet experiencing. This is different from the Great Gatsby, that he is watching, observing, and expressing from the brain filter of himself rather than just a simple third person point of view.
His dictions make me feel very confusing yet mesmerizing. His expresses his complex ideas, for example he believes that the nature has its characteristics and personality, respects and mentions every aspects of his surroundings, such as wind, sea, a stranger, etc.
Imagery is also strong during his visit to the beach how sea wind changes and how it unwelcome him.
I could say that his diary is very detailed in a way that he explains his feelings yet it fails to give a tantamount of information about the place that he visits. Less factual contents and more emotional and into small details. (well, it’s diary not a travel guide---- isn’t it?)
Syntax
Grammars; not sure of. It does fit all the grammars, yet it feels like it’s kind of disordered. Maybe because of his descriptive-complex writing style.

whodunnit/
I think it was one of the organization that existence of Che harms them. One can be the opponents of Che in Cuba, who does not agree with his idea that all communist/socialist goverments must give out everything for third world nations. it can also be the people in the third world nation that does not like his involvement in their ground. On the other hand, it could be the person who thinks that his people were abandoned by him, such as his past soldiers, or other people who were surprised at his change. For the last possibility, it can be the United States secret organization that believes he will harm the United States directly/indirectly.

Introduction
Dear, Jason
Jason, I am glad to tell you that I will be visiting China because I was invited from Beijing University to give a short-term session about Argentine history. Do you remember when we attended Michigan University together? Those days were great! Although your belief in socialism often conflicted mine, I think it was great experience to discuss with you. I may give your students a different perspective about socialism! Be alert! Ha ha Just kidding. I just can’t wait to see you and discuss more about how argentine government had improved after it had accepted socialistic economical system. I am sure you will be ready to tell me a new perspective that I have not thought of.
Sincerely,
Your friend Shevaski

Che's idealism/
his belief is very idealistic that no one would really like to get involved in. It’s like Utopia. His mission statement is to build a socialistic system in the world where countries are not individually focused and rather worldly focused. That all the countries and all the citizens must share their wealth, privilege and comfort. I think this is pure socialistic idea. Socialism appeals to the people who would bring down the average quality of daily life, yet the people who are already above the average quality do not welcome it. Here, Che criticizes mostly about imperialistic policies executed by the leading countries of the world such as Great Britain and the United States. Meanwhile, Castro, the Cuban dictator does not want Che to speak out his opinions and ruin the relationship between the Soviet Union, where Soviet Union wants individual and separate socialistic goverments.

Religion + Politics how they are closely related.
if I were to make my own documentary, It would be about one of the people in the european history such as King constantine, saladin, or King Richard. You may have found similarities between three of them; they are both political and religious leaders. I am very interested in how religion effects our society and brings change. heroes in past European history are very closely related to religion and idealistic concepts. They provide them reasons to live, survive, kill, and love while also brings destruction, violence, disagreements and war.
I think this topic is very romantic and dramatic that I'd like to make a documentary about it.
Few examples would be constantine's power struggle against the pope, saladin and crusade war, and fall of Babylonian empire (king Absalom) and its relation to the bible.

Expectation of the Documentary

I expect the documentary of Che would be something very dramatic; having to live a aggressive life in Cuba and other countries in Africa, he would’ve risk his life during the process of becoming the leader. However, he builds a personality of evil; that can be only justified by himself. He may believe small things are to give up for larger ones, but giving up being a human and treating his soldiers badly while valuing the public as whole is a paradox. This paradox would bring his different characteristics in him and caused him to act differently on different situations.

/Che
3 things I find interesting about what I’ve watched and read about Che so far?
That he is a person who had build dictatorship only a few miles away from the United States, the leading country of democracy.
That he is a person who had been merchandized on a t-shirt, cup and other daily products in the United States.
That people in the United States are not fully aware of who he is and what he had done.
2 things I find confusing or questionable about what you’ve watched and read about che so far?
Why doesn’t the United States intervene and build democracy over Cuba while attempting to set democracy over Iraq and Iran?
What does the media brings Che up and creates issues and controversies, and what makes some people in the United States to be a supporter of him?
1 thing I find discussion worthy about what I’ve atched and read about che so far
Is Che a charismatic leader that could be on the level of Napoleon and Hitler

Don't judge a book by its cover
Don’t Judge a book by its cover.
Yes, indeed, its cover gives off the message or feelings of what kind of book this is. People no matter what, goes through thin slicing, and some times it may be wrong, but usually they are correct unless the book cover was designed to trick the readers.
The old man and the sea was the book that its cover was fully explanatory, and its story did not go out of my expectations. Invisible man was one that had the least explanation, and made us to interpret the book cover by reading the story. On the other hand, this new novel, this motorcycle diaries seems pretty expectable,

Che Merchandising
Despite Che is not a hero, who helped castro rise to power, and oversaw prison executions, started labor camps, Che’s image is everywhere and the new Che movie is in the works
Why is this guy so famous? Why is this anti-american person’s face is printed on a t-shirt? Is this appropriate to wear Che or Hitler’s t-shirt? Beck says no, and I agree.
Not while ago, there was a controversial issue about naming a child as a Hitler and putting ‘Happy Birthday Hitler’ on the his birthday cake. His parents say that they did it just because it was unique, but the store rejected to do it.
I think the reason people tend to wear the che’s face is because they are not aware about this, and the blame for this situation must be on the companies that produce the t-shirts, and companies that produce the movie. Also, some people thinks Che, Hitler, and Napoleon are the evil losers. Meaning that they believe they became notorious because they lost the fight, and had they won, they would become the heroes of their time period. Such ideas creates a romantic image over them, and blinds them to see what they have done. I think it is the education and government’s job to restrict.
